Monroe Film Festival

Howdy Fellow Vikings, Our Film Festival is coming and deadlines are quickly approaching! The film festival will take place on May 10th and 11th. However, applications to the film festival are due March 1st. I will put an application in your box and a flyer will follow. The applications can be found on the AME bulletin board in A-Hall. They can be found on line at https://sites.google.com/site/monroefilmfestival/ . You (or students) can also see Mr. Moss, Mr. Hayes, Ms. Petrossian, Mr. Langlois or email monroefilmfestival@gmail.com. We plan on putting on an amazing event and hope anybody that is interested will participate. If you have any suggestions or ideas, we’d love to hear them. The details of the event will come. Right now we just need to plant seeds that can grow into films. They take time to plan, film, and edit. This is a great opportunity for students. Many students have the ability to create a short film in their pocket (~phones). The possibilities are many…document a club, sport, experiment, assignment, competition, skating trick, or field trip. Tell your life story. Tell another’s life story. Direct, act, edit, costume/make-up/hair, or write. Make us laugh, cry, or cringe. Inform us (or misinform us!). This is a chance for students all along the spectrum to shine. Please consider sponsoring a film/filmmaker. Please mention it to your advisories. Consider incorporating it into a class or offering extra-credit for work well done. Again, applications (not films) are due Friday, March 1st. Sincerely, B. Langlois Arts, Media, & Entertainment
